Scissor Sisters, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs y Marilyn Manson son algunos de los artistas que apadrinan la iniciativa.
Xbox 360 anuncia el lanzamiento del álbum “Xbox Soundtracks Presents… Start”, editado por Universal Music. El recopilatorio cuenta con canciones de rock y pop internacional y estará disponible desde el 4 de marzo. Artistas como Scissor Sisters, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs y Marilyn Manson han colaborado en esta iniciativa por la cual Xbox pretende apoyar e inspirar a los artistas de nueva generación.
El álbum incluye 16 éxitos internacionales junto a una canción exclusiva, el remake que Scissor Sisters han realizado de su tema “She’s My Man”, inspirándose en el videojuego “Halo Wars”. El grupo liderado por James Shears ha apadrinado el álbum con un remix electro-house de su single, en el que se han incorporado unas contundentes bases rítmicas y distorsiones vocales, para servir de perfecto telón sonoro al tráiler del videojuego.
“Xbox Soundtracks…Start” es el último paso de la iniciativa Soundtracks, un concurso europeo que contó con el apoyo de artistas de nueva generación como los Scissor Sisters y de amantes de la música de toda Europa, que compusieron más de 2.000 temas musicales inspirándose en juegos de Xbox 360.
El ganador español fue Jordi Font, quien acudió al juego de carreras “Forza Motorsport 2” para componer su tema “Start Engine”. Jordi es un profesor de conservatorio que toca la guitarra y el piano y que ha dedicado toda su vida a la música. “Participar en Xbox Soundtracks ha supuesto una gran experiencia para mí, y me sumó de alegría ganar un concurso que tuvo gran nivel de participación y de talento. Por fin he podido grabar una canción en un estudio profesional, gracias a Xbox 360 y Universal Music”, declaró Font. A raíz de su éxito en Xbox Soundtracks, Jordi Font se ha especializado en componer música para imagen.

Dearest One,
Hello and how are you, hope you are fine and in good condition of health. I want you to understand that my contact with you is not by accident, It is true that we have not known each other for the first time but just getting to know one another which I strongly believe that it will take us to great relationship financially and otherwise. Before the death of my father on November 2003 in a private hospital here in Abidjan he secretly called me on his bed side and told me that he has the sum of US$ 4,500,000 ( four million five hundred thousand, United states Dollars) left in a suspense account here in Abidjan cote D’voire. He place my name as next of kin, and also gave the documents pertaining the consignment to me. He also explained to me that it was because of this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates, that I should seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice where I will transfer this money and use it to invest in a profitable ventures.
I am just 25 years old and a university undergraduate. I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of members of my late father's family who has not stop disturbing me about the where about of this fund after they have succeeded in claiming almost all the valuable properties that he left behind for me, coupled with incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life I will like every thing to be conclude soon so that I will join you for me to further my study and also prefer to go pastoral school in your country.
